Rental Update: Mid-November

This week at Downtown Suites two of our remaining studio suites and a wonderful 1 bedroom were rented. Other rental updates for this week are as follows:

1 Bedroom

In the range of $1000-$1500 per month we had 102 inquiries. All of the suites in this price range have been rented, except one which will not last long.

1-2 Bedrooms

In the $1600-$2500 per month range we had 19 Inquiries. The suites in this price are still available and are worth comingĀ  to view. Each has its own special features, and have great layouts.

2-3 Bedrooms

2-3 Bedrooms

In the luxury $2600+ range we saw 53 inquiries. We do have a lot of interest and will be holding showings soon for some new suites that have just come on our listing. We find there is still a market for the high end luxury suites.

Hi, just looked at your 1006- 930 Cambie St. suite and it is reasonable rent for the size. I agree however that rents will come down dramatically and finally we are in the driver’s seat. Tanya has been wonderful through previous dealings and today Theresa was very nice and cute too. You may get some negotiations with respect to price. I am sending in an application but may be looking for some flexibility in terms of moving in early since 1006 is vacant and Christmas and all. We’ll see if the owners concur. Any flexibility would be so appreciated.

Me and my partner, Jennie saw the downturn coming and being contrarions we sold everything about a year back and are in a cash position. In 6 months to a year the market will correct big time and then we will buy at a reasonable price. I totally agree with your analysis, however the correction will be more severe since the major economic driver is real estate construction further aggravating the over-supply.
